LOUISBURG – Juanita Davis Tharrington, 86, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Jared Pemper officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

She was a daughter of the late, Berry and Lillie Brown Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen T. Tharrington; sisters, Florine Gardner, Annie Mae Mattox and Magdalene Smith; brothers, William Davis, and Joseph R. “Bill” Davis.

Surviving: son, Wayne Tharrington; daughters, Judy Young (Juan) and Brenda Robbins, all of Louisburg; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren

In lieu of flowers,  memorials may be made to Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church, Youth Program, 888 M.C. Wilder Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
