FRANKLINTON- Marjorie Collins Layton, 97, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted at 2  p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at Hall-Wynne Chapel by the Rev. David Averette.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Ollie M. and Geneva May Collins and the widow of Johnnie Layton.  She retired from Burlington Industries, was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Surviving: son, Winston M. Layton (Mary) of Nashville; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; and two step-grandsons.
