MAIDIE O. MANGUM


WAKE FOREST —Maidie White O’Neal Mangum, 89, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County to the late Henry White and Mary Ann Chalk White. She was a graduate of Youngsville High School and retired from Westinghouse as a meter inspector. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving: daughter, Marsha O’Neal Pearce (Tommie) of Wake Forest; stepson, James E. “Jim” Mangum II (Billie) of Wake Forest; sister, Sibylene White Rogers of Wake Forest; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harvey O’Neal and James Everett Mangum Sr.; step-daughter, Kay Shaver; 12 brothers and sisters.

Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
