ALBEMARLE – James Grimmett Gilliam, 71, of Albemarle, formerly of Louisburg, died Wednesday night, Jan. 8, 2014.

He was a son of the late Joseph Raymond and Roxie Elizabeth Clay Gilliam. He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Joseph Gilliam.

There will be a private service for the family.

James is survived by his sister-in-law, Annie Lee Gilliam; and two nephews, all of Franklinton;
