DALLAS “PETE” MCGHEE


FRANKLINTON - Dallas “Pete” Conrad McGhee, 70, died suddenly on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 23, at 6:30 p.m. at Mount Olivet Church, 1245 Mt. Olivet Church Road, Franklinton. Visitation will follow the service.

He was a retired deputy with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. He had also been employed by the Franklinton Police Department, Franklin County EMS, and Town of Louisburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents (Eddie & Ruby), two sisters (Colleen Linthicum and Betty Ray), and five brothers (Danny, Mack, Wallace, Bobby and Billy).

Surviving; daughters, Mandy (Tony) Bailey and Deanna (Matt) Wilson; sister, Shirley Pendleton; two grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Franklinton Rescue, where he served as a volunteer for many years.
