FRANKLINTON —Lucille Elizabeth Allen Quinichett, 90, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014. Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 1, at Metropolitan Baptist Church, Rocky Mount. Interment followed in Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

She was the youngest of four girls born to the late Ulysses and Queen Esther Allen of Franklinton. She was a graduate of Shaw University of Raleigh and a soror of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. She spent 40 years in the Edgecombe County Public School System as an elementary school teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lemuel Quinichetti, and three sisters, Evelyn, Dorothy and Arie Adeline.

Surviving: three nieces and four nephews; several in-laws and cousins; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
