HENDERSON - Funeral services for George Clyde “Pip” Solomon, 86, who died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at Mitchell Baptist Church, with the Rev. Daniel W. Lilly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Martha Solomon of the home; daughters, Deloris Solomon and Angela Denise Solomon, both of the home; sons, Meredith Solomon of Somerset, N. J., Lessie Solomon of Newark, N.J. and Edwin Solomon of the home; sisters, Elizabeth Williams of Louisburg, Stella Carroll and Rosa Lee Williams, both of Norlina, and Carine Mitchell of Ft. Washington, Md.

Open visitation will be held at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5.
