LOUISBURG - Lottie Murelle Joyner Hight, 97, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014. A memorial service will be held at Mt. Gilead Church, Louisburg, at 4 p.m.  Friday, April 4.

She was one of eight children born to Annie Burnette and Jerry Hampton Joyner. She married Samuel Foster Hight on Oct. 24, 1936. They were married for 51 years.

Surviving: sons, Neil (Joan) Hight and Sam (Cheryl) Hight; brother, Mack Joyner of Louisburg; and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by one grandson.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
