LOUISBURG - Memorial services for Willie Murphy Holden, 78, who died Tuesday, March 4, 2014, will be held Thursday, April 24, at 2 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg, with the Rev. Douglas Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Haywood Baptist Church cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Yvonne E. Holden of Lacrosse, Va.; sons, Willie Alvin Thomas (Connie) of Louisburg and Scott R. Holden (Rosalyn) of Lacrosse, Va.; sisters, Mildred Bryant, Lucy Holden and Bettie Paronie, all of Louisburg, Edna Mae Ashley and Bertha Holden, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; brothers, J. C. Holden and John Earl Holden, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., and George Holden of Louisburg; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
