WINSTON-SALEM— Ty’Rahn Rashad Elliott, the first child to Lavon Maurice Elliott and Tracey Cox Sharps, was born in Raleigh, North Carolina. He died Thursday evening, April 17, 2014. The family will receive friends 12 Noon Thursday, April 24, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Ty’Rahn graduated from Mount Tabor High School, Winston-Salem in 2010 where he acquired a variety of awards and trophies throughout his athletic career. He accepted Christ in his life at age 12 and was baptized at Mitchiner’s Grove Baptist Church, Franklinton, NC.

Surviving: daughter, Nailah Gabrielle Gould, and a son, Ty’Rahn Rashad Elliott Jr.; his parents, Lavon Maurice Elliott (Artisha) and Tracey Cox Sharps (Ronald); his grandparents, Marzella Jones (Ronnie) and Lenora Allen (Burnice); brothers: Malik Neal, Travon Sharps, and Phillip Elliott; sisters, Toni Clemons and Taiya Cox; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins,and friends.
