LOUISBURG - Betty F. Clanton, 80, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Hospice of Wake County in Raleigh. Funeral services will take place Saturday, May 3, at Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Church Cemetery.

Surviving: husband, Willie R. Clanton of the home; daughter, Sonia Strickland of Louisburg; son, David Bernard Clanton of Louisburg; sisters, Alice Dickens of Hampton Va., Elsie Long of Washington, D.C.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
