LOUISBURG - William Wesley Woodall, 82, died Sunday, May 18, 2014. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 21, at Mitchell Funeral Home in Raleigh, with the Rev. Pat Chisenhall officiating. Burial followed in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens.

He was born in Johnston County, NC, to the late Samuel and Elizabeth Andrews Woodall. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. As an adult, he gained employment with the North Carolina Department of Corrections and worked in Food Services Department. Prior to his decline in health, he was an active member in his faith community at Abundant Life Worship Center in Angier.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by seven brothers and two sisters.

Surviving: his wife, Gerri Woodall of the home; sons, David Woodall, Kevin Woodall, Randy Woodall and Johnny Woodall; stepsons, Gary Adams (Deborah) of Federal Way, Wash., Jerry Adams, Jamie Adams, Joey Adams, and Mike Adams; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
