LOUISBURG - Barbara Farmer Bass Clark, 79, died Friday, July 18, 2014 at her home. Graveside services were held Monday at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Edwin Hedgepeth and the Rev. Tom Hollis officiating.

She was born in Edgecombe County to the late Jimmy and Dora Wallace Farmer. She was a district manager with The News and Observer and prior to that, she worked as a dental assistant. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Lee Bass, Jr. and Charles Clark.

Surviving: daughters, Donna Fuller (Larry) of Wake Forest, Tammy Bass (Earl) of Castalia and Bonnie Hanson (Wesley) of Grapevine, TX; her son, Allen Bass (Colleen) of Warrenton; brother, Ervin Farmer of Rocky Mount; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
