FRANKLINTON - William Preston Henderson, 61, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014. Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 7, at New Birth Temple Christian Church in Franklinton, with Joseph B. Cutchins Jr. officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

He was born in Franklinton to the late Ervin Crudup and Irene Henderson. He attended Kittrell College for two years and later joined the U. S. Air Force. He also received an Associate’s degree in Funeral Services.

Surviving: wife, Denise; son, Aaron (Equila); brothers, Dennis of Wake Forest, Howard, Earnest (Carolyn), Bruce of Franklinton, Thomas (Ann) of Rougemont; sisters, Margaret, Priscilla (Larry), Joyce, Doris, and Jacqueline, all of Franklinton, Betty (Lynwood) of North Carolina, Sharon, Shelia and Susan, all of Raleigh, and Soyna of South Boston, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
