FRANKLINTON --Ardell Rebecca Hawkins, 90, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 11, at New Birth Christian Temple Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Billy E. Williams Sr. officiating. Interment was in the Hawkins Chapel Missionary Baptist Church cemetery, Franklinton.

She was educated at Albion Academy of Franklinton and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Hawkins, and two children, Daphine Henderson and Tommy Hawkins.

Surviving: children, Tonza and Teresa Hawkins of the home, Bobbie J. Mills of Franklinton, Robert Hawkins of Rocky Mount and Clara Alston of Louisburg; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
