HUBERT C. HARRIS


FRANKLINTON --Hubert Chester Harris, 55, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 at his home. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 15, at Kinches Chapel Christian Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Quentin Bullock officiating.

He was born in Granville County to the late Oscar and Ophelia Harris. He was educated in the Franklin County Public School System. He was affectionately called "Uncle Toe" by his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his eldest brother, Wilie Harris, and a sister, Roxie Vernell Harris.
Surviving: wife, Jennie Harris of the home; daughters, Tameka Scott of the home and Cherry Alston (Timothy) of Kittrell; sons, Christopher Harris of Franklinton, Demetric Hockaday and Richard Parker, both of Creedmoor; sisters, Betty Lawrence (Fred), Alma Williams and Mable Wortham (James), all of Franklinton, and Annie Blacknall (William) of Creedmoor; brothers, Oscar Harris (Sara) of Butner, Donnell, Eddie and William Harris, all of Franklinton; and loving grandchildren.
