LOUISBURG - Peggy Jessup Perdue, 78, of Louisburg, died Thursday evening.

Peggy was a daughter of the late Carl and Katy Leggett Jessup. She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Jessup. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a retired registered nurse.

A funeral service was held 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Entombment followed at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Perdue; sons, Marty Perdue; Brent Perdue and fiancé, Shelby Ayscue, all of Louisburg; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Harris Raymond of Raleigh; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Lori Jessup of Warrenton; grandchildren, Aaron Perdue and wife, Lacy; Kendall Fuller and husband, Derrick; great-grandchildren, Harleigh and Presleigh Perdue; Lilly, Jacob, and Carson Fuller.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Trinity U.M.C., 4246 US 401 N., Louisburg, NC 27549.
