OXFORD-GRANVILLE CO. - Dora Boyd Faulkner, 62, a lifetime resident of Granville County, passed away Thursday January 1, 2015 at her home alongside her husband Jerome Taylor Faulkner.

A native of Norfolk Va., she was the daughter of the late Howard Randolph Boyd and Nannie Blackwell Boyd. She was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church, graduated from Vance-Granville School of Nursing in 1984, worked at Revlon as an occupational health nurse, Central Regional Hospital and also was a First Responder on the Cornwall Volunteer Fire Department for several years.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 10, 2015 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by the Rev. Johnny Richards, Rev. Glenn Blackwell and Rev. Robert Blackwell. Burial will be in Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving are her stepsons, Jerome T. Faulkner Jr. (Lela) and their children Heather Faulkner, Jake Faulkner, Mackenzie Beasley and Chason Beasley, all of Newton Grove, Ricky Faulkner (Genie) and their children, Riggan and John Allen Faulkner, all of Louisburg; and numerous close cousins.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, January 9, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford.
