FRANKLINTON--Mattie Pearl Tart, 83, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Collier officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

She was born and raised in Henderson, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Williams.

Surviving: son, Steve Alan Tart (Hattie) of Franklinton; daughter, Diane Williams of Stem; brothers, Pete Williams (Christine) of Raleigh and Milton Marks (Linda) of Butner; sisters, Patsy Waite of Henderson, Shannon Beatles (Lacy) of South Boston, Va., and Dorothy Wright of Henderson; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie "Bill" Tart, and a son, Samuel Tart.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-7:30 p.m. Saturday Jan. 31, at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 South Main Street, Wake Forest, and all other times at the home of Steve and Hattie Tart, 2522 Grove Hill Road, Franklinton.
