CASTALIA - Sidney Allen Beckham, 75, of Castalia, died Saturday afternoon at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Sidney was a son of the late Ronald and Edna L. Beckham. He was an Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter Beckham and Dan Beckham.

A private graveside service will be held at White Level Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sidney is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betsy Ann Beckham; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Jamie Beckham of Louisburg; Joe and Deanna Beckham of Mebane; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Patricia Beckham of Louisburg; Harvey and Carol Beckham of Creedmoor; Fred and Chris Beckham of Germany; grandchildren, Andrew Beckham; Jordan Bunn (Justin); Morgan Beckham, and Leann Beckham.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123-1718.

The family will receive friends 7 - 8:30 pm Monday at Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
