LOUISBURG--Dora "Peggy" Shearin Vaughan, 89, died Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Franklin Oaks Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel with Pastor Brian Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

She was born o the late James G. and Lillie Delbridge Shearin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Vaughan Sr.; her children, Lucille Mayberry and Troy Vaughan Jr.; two grandchildren; and six siblings.

Surviving: daughters, Peggy Wallace (Lawrence) of Raleigh, Linda V. Jordon (Andy) of Henderson, Shelia V. Rife (Vernon) of Louisburg; sons, Willard Vaughan (Sherry) and Vernon Vaughan (Debbie), both of Louisburg; seven grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
