BAILEY - Funeral services for Walter "Doug" Armstrong, 71, who died Tuesday, April 14, 2015, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Haywood Baptist Church, with Bishop Stanley Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: Katie Hicks Armstrong of the home; daughters, Jackie Armstrong of Bailey, Tessie Armstrong of Hampton, Va., and Latasha Armstrong of Zebulon; son, Bishop Stanley Hicks of Wilson; sisters, Mavis Armstrong Little of Ellerbee, and Velma McCauley of Charlotte; brothers, Robert T. Armstrong, Roy L. Armstrong, Jimmy L. Armstrong, all of Norman, N.C., and Charles V. Armstrong of Charlotte.

Open visitation will be held at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg on Friday, April 17, from 3 to 7 p.m.
