FRANKLINTON - Funeral services for Mattie Johnson Davis, 79, who died Thursday, April 30, 2015, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Mitchiner's Grove Baptist Church in Franklinton, with the Rev. Melvin Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughter, Carolyn Crudup (George) of Franklinton; sons, Lorenzo Davis of Smithfield, George Davis and Carl Junior Ruffin, both of Franklinton, and Mozell Davis (Rosa) of Kittrell; sister, Pearl Frye (Joe) of Staten Island, N.Y.; brother, Tommy Johnson of Louisburg; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
