OWEN T. "POP" HALE


CASTALIA - Owen Thomas "Pop" Hale Sr., 75, died Saturday, May 30, 2015. A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 2, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville and other times at the home.  A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 3, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Pastor Robbie Piper and Pastor Carlyle Hall Jr. officiating. A committal will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County to the late Ben T. and Doris Mosley Hale.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bennie Ray Hale. He was a truck driver, a former Commissioner and Mayor of Castalia, and he retired from Brigadier/ Cavalier Homes.  

Surviving: wife, Rivers Collins Hale; two sons, Owen T. "Bunky" Hale Jr .(Robin) and Timmy K. Hale (Renae); three brothers, Kenneth Hale (Dorothy), Johnny Hale (Debbie) and Danny Hale; one sister, Alice Pernell; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
