ZEBULON - Lawrence Davis Perry, Sr., 76, went home to the Lord on Saturday. A lifelong native of Franklin County, he was son to the late Luther Davis and Annie Hazel Baker Perry. He was first and foremost a father, farmer, and community member of Pearces. He enjoyed Nascar, restoring old tractors, especially a John Deere.

He is survived by sons, Jonathan Perry, Lawrence "L.D." Davis Perry, Jr.; grandson, Wesley B. Perry; and dog, Bella, all of Zebulon.

Memorial service 11 a.m., Saturday, September 26, Pearce Baptist Church.
