LOUISBURG - Raymond Corneluis Dement, 83, of Louisburg died Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at his home. Born April 12, 1932 to the late Garland and Mary Hight Dement, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Howard Perry Dement, and his sister, Ruby Mae Ellington. Raymond was a carpenter and farmer and measured land for Farm Services Agency for many years. Raymond loved his family and his granddaughters; they were the apples of his eye.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne; his son, Steve (Pamela); his granddaughters, Danie Neal (Taylor) and Kaylee Dement, and their mother, Fran Dement; his step-grandchildren, Nicolas, Eric and Alexis Tucker.

Graveside services were held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends at Raymond and Yvonne's home at all times.
