CARY - Carolyn Pearce Strange, 87, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016 at Transitions Life Care after a brief illness. The family will receive friends Wednesday at noon at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg, where services will follow at 1 p.m. Entombment will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

She was a native of Franklin County, born to the late Urban T. and Pauline House Pearce. In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wilder Strange, and brothers Urban Lynn Pearce (Jane), Bob Reynolds Pearce, Joe Edward Pearce and Charles Gilbert Pearce.

She was a graduate of Edward Best High School.

Surviving: daughter, Carol Strange Ingram (Hal) of Raleigh; sisters, Louise Jeffreys of Louisburg and Peggy Tucker of Raleigh; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
