LOUISBURG - Rosa Evelyn Turnage, 81, of Louisburg, died Tuesday evening.

Mrs. Turnage was a daughter of the late Oscar and Gladys Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah W. Turnage; daughter, Debra Leonard; sons, Rickie Turnage and Glenn Turnage; one sister and two brothers .

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at New Hope Christian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Turnage is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Belinda Turnage of Louisburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Donald Pendergrass of Youngsville; Becky and Tony Medlin of Clayton; grandchildren, Chris Turnage (Jennifer); Brad Turnage (Jamie); Bambie Massey (Johnathan); Tonya Smith (Chris); Tasha Turnage; Justin Turnage (Rachel); Mindy Delaney (Mike); great-grandchildren, Matthew Turnage, Luke Turnage and Malachi Massey.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to New Hope Christian Church, 2793 NC 98 Hwy. Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family will receive friends 7 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
