LOUISBURG - Annie Lee Ashley Whitley, 84, of Louisburg, died Monday morning at her home.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents, R.W. and Annie Lee Ashley.

She was a nurse at Franklin Regional Medical Center for 32 years until her retirement in 2002.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.

Annie is survived by her sons, Stewart Marshall and wife Ellen; Bobby Lee Marshall all of Louisburg; brother, Robert U. Ashley and wife, Elizabeth of Raleigh; grandchildren, Anita Driver and husband, Kaid; Mary Jo Gordon and husband, Brian; Katrina Marshall; 4 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Franklin County NC Relay for Life, American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
