ZEBULON - Julian Elson Mitchell, 85, a WW II veteran and retired farmer, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 3, at Union Chapel Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery with military honors.

Surviving: his stepchildren, Faye Carter (Dennis) of Raleigh, Gene Fuller (Betty) of Zebulon, Wayne Fuller (Helen) of Hildebrand; brothers, Bennie Mitchell (Pansy) of Wendell, James Mitchell of Rolesville; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
