ZEBULON - Robert Franklin Smith, 55, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2016. A funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 12, at Franklinton Baptist Church, with Pastor David Averette officiating.

He was born in Scotland County to James Howard and Shirley Walters Smith. He was an electrician, working wirh Brothers Electric.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Morgan "MoMo" Smith Grandy.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Brooks Smith (Stacy); stepson, Curtis Carroll; sister, Donna Elizabeth Hemphill; his children's mother, Bonnie Hoard Meyer; and four grandchildren.
