LOUISBURG - Cora Katie Moore Edwards, 89, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017, after the Lord our Savior Jesus Christ called her to her eternal home.

Cora Katie was a daughter of the late John Richard and Zena Bobbitt Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Edwards, Sr., and her three sons, Jimmy Edwards, Ricky Edwards and Ray Edwards.

Cora Katie is survived by her daughter-in-law, Debbie N. Edwards; grandchildren, James H. "Jay" Edwards, III of Miami, FL, Tiffany E. Patterson (Erick) of Louisburg, Monika E. Plybon (Chip) of Simpsonville, SC; great-granddaughter, Hilary Patterson; great-grandson, Cullom Plybon; brother, J. Dick Moore (Sonya) of Louisburg.

Cora Katie was a member of Louisburg Baptist Church and an associate of Harris Pharmacy for more than fifty years. Cora Katie and her husband James were the former owners of White Funeral Home in Louisburg, now Strickland Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday January 19, 2016 in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, White Memorial Chapel. Burial will be private.
