HOLLISTER - Funeral services for the Rev. John R. Lee, 66, who died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, will be held Thursday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m. at St. Gideon Baptist Church in Hollister with the Rev. Jimmy Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Gideon Church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Wanda Lee of Hollister, Nakita Lee Avent of Norlina; sisters, Roxie Richardson of Richmond, Va., Doretha Chichester of Rocky Mount, Joyce Lee of Hollister; brothers, Leonard Gene Lee (Pamela) of Henderson, Gideon Lee (Fun) and David Lee, both of Hollister; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at St. Gideon Baptist Church in Hollister.
