BUNN - George Milton Jones, 88, went home to be with the Lord Monday morning at Wake Med. He was the son of the late Robert Troy and Fannie Alford Jones.

Funeral services were held 11 am Thursday at Social Plains Baptist Church with burial that followed in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lorine Strickland Jones; children, Ashley Jones (Desiree), Jerry Jones (Peggy) and Paula Hamilton (David); brother, Charles Jones (Bobbi); 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
