LOUISBURG -- Funeral services for Walter L. Ward, 88, who died Monday, May 15, 2017, will be held Sunday, May 21, at 1 p.m. at Ambassadors For Christ Ministries in Louisburg, with the Rev. Jamaal Brodie officiating. Burial will follow in the Cemetery on the Hill.

Surviving: wife, Beatrice Ward of the home; daughters, Beatrice Watson (Motton), Susie Johnson (Samuel), Jacqueline Ward, Queen Wiggins (Robert), Patricia Williams (Christopher), all of Louisburg, Regina Hawkins (Tyrone) of Henderson; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Open visitation will be Saturday, May 20, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
