LOUISBURG – Lucy Mozzelle Edwards Thayer, 66, of Louisburg, died Saturday morning.

Mo was a daughter of the late Robert and Annie Pendergrass Edwards and a native of Franklin County. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church and worked as a cosmetologist and an employee of Wildflower Grill for many years.

Graveside service was at 3 p.m. Monday at Lancaster Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband Wyatt “Sonny” Thayer; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie M. and John Jones of Youngsville; son and daughter in-law, Curly and Tammy Malone of Louisburg; stepdaughter, Jamie Thayer Jones; step-son, Teddy Thayer, both of Louisburg; sisters, Grace Smith of Kittrell, Ruby Wester of Kinston, Rose Jones of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Malcolm Edwards of Greenwood, SC, Gerald Edwards of Louisburg, Waylon Edwards of Kittrell; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

The family received friends immediately following the service.
