LOUISBURG--Funeral services for David Lee Alston, 83, who died Monday, June 19, 2017, will be held Sunday, June 25, at 3 p.m. in the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg, with the Rev. Rodney Wayne Alston officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Rock Church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Lenora Rodgers of Durham, Elnora Henry (James) of Ivanhoe, Phyllis Summers (Howard) of Goldsboro, Debolyn Ragland (Leon), Ethel Bryant (James), Carla Powell (Michael) and Albertina Alston, all of Louisburg; sons, David Stuart Rodgers of Durham, David Ray Williams of Washington, DC, Richard Alston (Bonita) of Columbus, SC, Rodney Alston (Tracy) of Nashville, Gary Alston (Teresa) of Conyers, Ga., Toney Alston (Twanetta) of the home; one brother, Ivory Alston of Louisburg; 36 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Open visitation will be Saturday from 3 until 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
