LOUISBURG - Donald Ray Satterwhite, 82, died Friday evening, Aug. 11, 2017. A funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 14, at Hill King United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dave Bundy officiating. A private entombment service was held at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, Wake Forest.

He was the son of the late Morris G. "Tootsie" and Eunice S. Satterwhite.

Surviving: wife, Esther H. Satterwhite; daughter, Kaye (Bill) Beasley of Currituck; son, Ray (Debbie) Satterwhite of Bunn; sister, Vivian (Leon) Williams of Inez; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hill King United Methodist Church, 1897 NC Hwy. 39 S., Louisburg, NC 27549.
