WILMINGTON - Willie Ruby Munoz, 84, daughter of the late Mary Willie Perry and Walter I. Williams, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2017 at her home in Wilmington. Funeral service was held Sunday, Aug. 27, at Manasseh Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Samuel T. Tunstall, pastor, officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

She was born February 4, 1933 in Franklinton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joaquin (Jack) Munoz, and one brother, Stewart Williams.

Surviving: son, David J. Munoz (Tanneaka Alexander-Munoz) of Greensboro; sisters, Johnnie Holloway of Fayetteville, Carrie Williams of Franklinton, and Samathia Williams of Durham; half sisters, Shirley Perry and Carolyn Jones, both of Louisburg, one brother, James Williams (Dorothenia) of Wilmington; five grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
