HARKERS ISLAND--Capt. Donald Flood, 67, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, Nov. 5, 2017 at Carolina East Medical Center of New Bern.

He and his wife ran Fisherman Inn on Harkers Island for 12 years and he ran the charter boat Fish Chaser and Chaser's Toy for years.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Bridgeway Church of Beaufort.

Surviving: his wife, Linda; son, Chase (Christine) of Wendell; daughter, Sutherlin of Wilmington; two grandchildren; sister, Susan Hayes (Randy) of Epsom; brother, Barry and wife, Pam of Roanoke, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial cards may be sent to the family at 309 Jones Ave., Apt 5, Beaufort, NC 28516.
