LOUISBURG--Barbara Kay Embert Wood, 61, of Louisburg departed this earthly life on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at her home. She was born on March 18, 1956 to the late Robert Lee and Bernice Beck Embert. Barbara was one of fourteen children. She loved crafting, planting flowers and doing projects with her grandchildren. She was a good cook and loved to talk and had a silly sense of humor.

Memorial service will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, 804 N. Bickett Blvd, Louisburg, NC 27549.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Wood (Andre Durham), Martha Wood (Marty Istre) and Diana W. Ringlien (Brad); grandchildren, Alana, Anna, Cameron, Amiyah, Renee, Destonee; and a great-grandchild, Nova; her siblings, Lonnie Embert, Bonnie Smith, Billy Embert and Robin Embert; her children's father, James Wood; and a special friend, Regina Terry.
