LOUISBURG--Faye Joanne Shoemaker Mc-Kenny, 76, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2017 at Hillside Nursing Home in Wake Forest. She was cremated according to her wishes. The family will receive friends Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. at the Lodge in Wake Forest, 1151 S. Main Street, where a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m.

She was born in Osawatam, Kansas.

Surviving: two children, Heather McKenny Kreger (Ken) and Mark McKenny (Jill Valentine); four grandchildren; five siblings, Marie Shoemaker Roberts, Dean Shoemaker, Dan Shoemaker, Fred Shoemaker, Martha Shoemaker Watkins; 10 nephews/nieces and 50 great-nephews/nieces.
