CASTALIA - Philip Lee Murray, 67, died suddenly Sunday evening, March 4, 2018, at his home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, March 8, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home in Louisburg.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Edith W. Murray.

Surviving: his long-time partner, Phyllis Best; sons, Jared Murray and Dillon Murray; sister, Wendy Murray (Stephanie); and one grandson, all of Florida.
