MAXINE FAULKNER PRITCHARD

LOUISBURG, NC - Maxine Faulkner Pritchard, 95, a long-time resident of Franklin County, passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Hillside Nursing Home in Wake Forest, NC.

Maxine spent her life on the family farm in the small community of Alert, NC. She enjoyed many simple things in life such as her blooming Iris', hand-churned ice cream, green grass, the love of a dog, an evening spent watching Billy Graham or Hee Haw, and time spent laughing and sharing stories with family and friends. She was known for her biscuits, corn pudding, sweet tea and other farm fresh fix'ns. She loved feeding people and would always offer up some food to anyone who came by to sit a spell. She was rooted in beliefs and traditions from a by-gone era. However, she was known to have an opinion or two for sure. She enjoyed being outside and worked hard all of her life. She could often be seen working in the garden, raking yards, feeding the cows or doing many other chores that come with the farm life. She truly was a farm girl at heart all of her life.

Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Tim" Pritchard. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn P. Aycock and husband Spencer Aycock, and granddaughter, Anita F. Williams and husband Daryl Williams.

There will be no public service. Immediate family will return her to the place she loved the most in a quite private moment on a beautiful Spring day when the grass is green. The family sends many thanks to those who helped care for Maxine during her later years. Special thanks to Hillside Nursing home & Transitions for their faithful service.
