FRANKLINTON--Lorraine Clax, 66, died Sunday, April 8, 2018 after a lengthy illness. Funeral service was held Sunday, April 15, at First Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. André Johnson offiiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Franklinton.

She was born in Franklinton, the daughter of the late Thomas and Flora Hayes Clax. She retired in 2014 from Rex Health Care of Raleigh.

Surviving: son, Robert Clax (Alesha) of Raleigh; brothers, Thomas Edward and David Lee Clax, both of Franklinton; sisters, Mary Williams and Naomi Brodie, both of Washington, D.C., and Marie Harris of Franklinton; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends.
