SPRING HOPE --Connie Matthews Bryant, 61, of Spring Hope died Sunday, April 22, at Nash General Hospital. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 29, from 2-3 p.m. at Calvary's Cross Baptist Church, 1807 NC 98, Louisburg, where a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m.

She was born to the late Linwood Walter Matthews and Peggy Ann Kearney Leonard. She owned and operated a home daycare.

Surviving: husband, Dexter Bryant; son, Dean Bryant (Tonya Younger); daughter, April Bryant Thompson (Jonathan); sister, Cathy Richards (Jeff); brothers, Tim Matthews (Vivian) and Mark Matthews (Gladys); three grandchildren.
