YOUNGSVILLE--Betty May Mitchell, 72, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at Unity Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton.

She was born in Durham County, the daughter of the late James Otis May and Minnie Lee (Broughton) May.

Surviving: husband, Fred Mitchell; her daughter Kimberly Mitchell of Durham, son Charles Mitchell (Kim) of Youngsville; sister, Linda Coffey of Franklinton; brother, Jimmy May of Raleigh; and one grandson.
