Thomas "Tom Cat" Jones, 56, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at his home. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 9, from 1-1:45 p.m. at Wood Baptist Church, 649 Wood Church Road, Louisburg, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Jones family cemetery on Thomas Jones Road.

He was born to the late Weldon Ezra Sr. and Elsie Mae Burnette Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Reginald "Dick" Jones, Charles Jones and Richard "Bud" Jones.

Surviving: sisters, Margaret Nelms (Henry), Linda Murphy (Jerry) and Frances Jones; brothers, Macon Jones (Evelyn), Weldon "Junior" Jones (Phyllis), Rufus "Root" Jones, Ernest "Pete" Jones (Eva Aycock), and Scott Jones (Cindy); and many nieces and nephews.
