LOUISBURG--Funeral services for Carolyn Bowden Strickland, 72, who died Friday, June 22, 2018, will be held Wednesday, June 27, at 2 p.m. at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Castalia, with the Rev. Bobby Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughter, Lori Strickland of Louisburg; son, DeSean Strickland (Tina) of Bunn; sisters, Dorothy Surratt (William), Susie Trader, Lucille Collins, Iva Hazelwood and Annie B. Bowden, all of Louisburg, Bernice Whitted of Durham, Sallie Williams (Lawrence) of Kinston; brothers, Robert Bowden of Greensboro, Bobby Bowden (Frances) of Louisburg; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 26, from 6 until 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
