YOUNGSVILLE--Frances Steenburg Loftis, 78, died Tuesday morning, July 31, 2018 at her residence. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at Neuse Baptist Church.

She was born in Hampton, Va., the daughter of the late Beatrice Fern Mannon Steenburg and Alfred Freeman Steenburg. She was a member of Neuse Baptist Church.

Surviving: husband, Thomas "Tommy" Loftis; her children, Thomas Allen Loftis Jr. (Shirley Ann) of Bullock, NC, Amos Ryland "Yogi" Loftis (Linda) of Youngsville, David "Chris" Loftis (Jennifer) of Youngsville; and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Neuse Baptist Church Building Fund, 4444 Louisbury Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Friends may visit with the family Thursday evening, Aug. 2, from 6-8 p.m. at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Wake Forest.
